Mets minor league pitcher Logan Taylor is recovering from a concussion after being attacked by a homeless man over the weekend.
Salt Lake City police told the Las Vegas Review-Journal that a man later identified as Joshua Cruz hit Taylor in the back of the head with a tire iron Saturday after demanding the pitcher’s wallet. Cruz also was carrying a sock filled with rocks at the time of the attack.
Boeheim believes the offense the Knicks have been running is the main reason for Anthony’s perceived struggles. Former Knicks team president Phil Jackson implemented his famous triangle offense, and Boeheim thinks it was a mistake.
“The triangle is the worst offense ever, unless you have Michael [Jordan] or Kobe [Bryant],” Boeheim said, via ESPN.com.
Anthony and trade rumors have been synonymous with one another for a couple seasons now. This offseason is no different, with the Rockets and Cavaliers reportedly interested in the aging small forward’s services.
“He likes New York,” Boeheim said. “He wants to play in New York.”
While that may be true, Anthony also likes to win, which is something the Knicks won’t be doing any time soon.
With a no-trade clause in his contract, Anthony ultimately gets final say over any proposed move. He has shown no signs of wanting to leave New York, but that could change this offseason with his chance at an NBA championship dwindling.
