Steve Kerr returns to Warriors practice, not yet ready for full return

Steve Kerr returned to Warriors practice Saturday as he continued to ramp up his activity in hopes of a return to the bench.

Kerr has not coached the Warriors since Round 1 of the playoffs this season due to recurring back trouble. Mike Brown has been filling in as head coach while Kerr rests.

On the other hand, there were two non-calls in Boston’s favor late in the game, both involving Horford, according to the league’s report.

Horford should have been called for an illegal screen against Bradley Beal with 41.2 seconds left, and he also committed a defensive three-second violation with 33 seconds left that was not called.

The Celtics, meanwhile, wish the NBA would just keep its discoveries of referees’ errors to itself. Per ESPN.com, coach Brad Stevens and his players have said they prefer the league not issue the Last Two Minute Report. It ultimately means nothing, after all.

The Celtics could also use a slasher, someone who can get to the basket and fight off defenders. Kansas’ Josh Jackson or Duke’s Jayson Tatum seem like the best options to fill that need.
