Joe Thomas attempts to name every Browns QB he’s protected

Joe Thomas is a future Hall of Fame offensive lineman, but he’s spent his entire 10 seasons protecting quarterbacks for the Browns. As you probably know, the Browns have had a terrible track record of Browns quarterbacks, and it can be difficult to remember all of them.

According to Burkholder, Ware will get a second opinion on the injury but is anticipated to need season-ending surgery.

Ware suffered the injury in the Chiefs’ preseason loss to the Seahawks on Friday when he went down after a short gain on a reception from quarterback Alex Smith. The team initially believed it to be a PCL injury, and had its fear confirmed after Ware had an MRI on Saturday.

In Ware’s extended absence, Kareem Hunt will be the featured running back in Kansas City.

The league allowed players to design their own footwear for Week 13 last year and the custom shoes were later auctioned to benefit the various charities they promoted.

According to the report, the NFL will also permit various colored cleats, shoelaces and wristbands during Weeks 5-7 this season to commemorate its “Crucial Catch” campaign.

A memo sent to coaches and equipment managers that was obtained by ESPN earlier this month stated the league intends to relax its footwear rules and let players wear more personalized cleats during pregame warmups this season. In an effort to allow players to be more expressive, the league will allow any color or design on their cleats as long as it doesn’t include commercialized or trademarked logos.
